Spring 2023: Mar 14 - Jul 14

Our Online Career Launch Program for Neurodiverse Job Seekers is aimed at individuals who hold a two or four year college degree (or equivalent), are currently underemployed or unemployed, have set the goal to get a job and be good at it, and need the knowledge and support to strengthen their motivation and drive to reach the goal.

Our comprehensive program consists of a 17-week career readiness training phase including a simulated workplace experience and a 6-month job search and placement phase.

Learn-By-Doing Session

15 Wks (120 Hrs; 2 Hrs/day; 4 Days/Wk)

The program begins with a 15-week learn-by-doing session consisting of 13 courses designed specifically to provide a highly impactful and valuable online learning experience.

The courses consist of live online classroom sessions, meetings, and discussions via Zoom, supplemented by assignments to internalize the course learnings. You will have ready access to the instructors and course content including a variety of tools, tips, assessments, and reference documents.

Participants learn and practice personal effectiveness skills, job search and career launch strategies, and workplace competencies – all skills essentials for securing employment and achieving career fulfillment and success.

Simulated Workplace Experience

2 Wks (40-60 Hrs; 4-6 Hrs/day; 5 days/Wk)

The last two weeks of training are designed to reinforce and practice the learnings from the courses in a simulated workplace environment, while gaining experience working on real world projects sourced from our business partners.

The 17-week training, comprised of the 15-week learn-by-doing session and the 2-week simulated workplace experience, also provides opportunities for the attendees to interact with companies and network with business professionals.

Job Search/Placement Support

6 Months

Completion of the training starts the next phase of individual coaching and placement support with a career coach. This dedicated one-on-one guidance assists the individual during their employment search and continues with the eventual hiring and onboarding, possibly with one of our employer allies (e.g., Stanford University, Visa, Cupertino Electric).

Please note that this phase requires the participant to complete the training successfully and demonstrate the readiness and commitment to undertake the hard work of searching for and landing in a job. The program includes this support for a period of 6 months. Depending on the needs of the individual, this period can be further extended.

Once employed, job and career coaching are available as an optional service to support the individual’s workplace assimilation and ongoing career plans.
